Your privacy is important to Ascent Technology. We recognize the importance of protecting your personal information, and we are committed to processing your personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Statement describes our privacy practices for our web sites, such as ascent.com, ascentworkzone.com, smartairline.com, smartairport.com, and others, that we operate primarily for marketing purposes. It describes the type of information we gather and track about the users of our web sites and how we use, share, or process the information. When you use Ascent Technology's web sites, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and processing of personal information in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

This Privacy Statement does not describe practices we follow when we provide access to the web sites we operate to deliver our products, solutions, and services under the terms of a license, grant of rights, subscription agreement, hosting agreement, or similar agreement between Ascent Technology and your organization or a third party, whether or not the web sites are controlled by Ascent Technology, your organization, or a third party. Those practices are described in the relevant license, grant of rights, subscription agreement, hosting agreement, or similar agreement between Ascent Technology and your organization or a third party. Unless otherwise specified, all personal information in these situations is owned and controled solely by your organization or by the third party, and not by Ascent Technology. Additionally, this Privacy Statement does not describe practices we follow when we process information on behalf of your organization, and/or a third party for their benefit.

We operate our web sites primarily from our facilities in Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America, using cloud hosting services provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) primarily located in the AWS US East Region (Northern Virginia, United States of America). We use the public areas of our web sites to provide general information about Ascent Technology and about our products, solutions, and services. We use password-protected areas of our web sites primarily to enable our customers, potential customers, business partners, and other interested persons to view non-public information about our products, solutions, and services; to obtain services; and to participate in product demonstrations and trials.

How We Collect Personal Information

Personal information, as used in this Privacy Statement, is information that identifies a specific individual, such as an individual's name, title, business affiliation, physical location or address, telephone number, fax number, email address, or SMS address.

You may choose to give us personal information, such as providing your name and contact information so we may communicate with you, provide marketing information, process a product order, or do business you. You may choose to give us personal information, such as a resume and a description of education, skills, and experience, when applying to work with us.

You can visit the public areas of our web sites without revealing personal information. However, if you want us to provide material you request, to communicate with you via telephone, email, text message, or postal mail, you need to provide personal information.

We are not responsible in any way for the actions of participants in on-line user forums, chat rooms, or other forms of communication restricted to registered users. We may personalize and customize web sites for certain visitors, such as prospective customers who want to view product demonstrations, operate our products and solutions on a trial basis, or use our services on a trial basis. Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 years. By providing personal information to us through our web sites, you represent that you are 16 years of age or older.

International Viewers and Users

Our web sites are hosted in the United States of America and are generally intended for viewers and users in the United States.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK, Canada, or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from United States laws, be aware that you are transferring personal information to the United States. When we update our Privacy Statement, we update the Effective date at the beginning of the Statement. Your continued use of our web sites after such update is subject to the then-current Privacy Statement.
